Despite having garnered international acclaim now for decades, Languedoc-Roussillon wines have failed to produce the number of books commensurate with their reputation. A new collection focusing on the region’s prime wine areas aims to plug the gap and offer wine enthusiasts a series of bilingual French-English tomes bringing to life not only the distinctive landscapes but also the men and women who have shaped the region’s identity. The richly illustrated 320-page books written in an easy-to-read, informative style contain a wealth of information, drawing on commentary by specialists, to help you discover each appellation, its dedicated wine growers and its wide array of wine-related activities, eateries and accommodation to make your stay a memorable one. In 2015, the unique bilingual format recounted the history and unique features of the Pic Saint Loup appellation north of Montpellier.
A second tome, due to be published in 2018, will feature another prominent Languedoc appellation. Watch this space!
